It is with great sadness that I must inform the forum of the passing of my old friend Mike Wright, following a long battle against cancer.

Mike was the cleverest person I have ever known, has done so much increase our understanding of the workings of the spring air rifle, and I feel honoured to have known and worked with this remarkable man.

Sincerest condolences to Mike’s wife Pat, and his daughter Becky.

Very sad to hear of this, I loved to read Mike’s in depth technical articles, particularly about springers, ballistics, barrel harmonics and everything else to do with air rifles, he added a level of intellectual expertise I've not heard anywhere else.

My condolences to his family and friends, may he rest in peace.
