Best wishes to everyone who knew him.

I read with great interest the articles; you, Jim and Mike wrote for various magazines.

Truly a great loss to the sport.

    Kindest regards. Hal.

I didn't know Mike Wright, but for BTDT to say he was the cleverest person he has ever known, is praise indeed - he must have been a hell of a guy. I guess somewhere down the line I will have benefitted from his knowledge, and I therefore add my condolences to his family and friends for the loss of such a guy.

Such sad news Jim as I know Mike was a close friend of yours.

I'm sure many boingermen have enjoyed reading Mike's work since the early days when he wrote for Sporting Air Rifle, through to his recent articles in Airgunworld --- his presence will be sorely missed.

Please pass on my sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Very sad news. I met Mike at the first 'Stoneleigh' show and had a brief chat with him and Jim. He struck me as a true gent and I now feel very sorry for his family.
    Kindest regards
    Phil

From what I have heard from you Jim, he sounded like the sort of person who made life that bit better just for having known him.

My thoughts go out to his family and friends.

So sad to hear of Mike's passing, Jim. In so many ways, he is irreplaceable.

    May he rest in peace.

It is a shame he has left us Jim. Like many thousands of others, I will truly miss his contribution towards our current understanding of how our guns work.

Very sad to hear this news

    My condolences to his family.

Also, you Jim, must be grieving for a dear friend.

From a personal & selfish point of view I will greatly miss his articles in AGW - I really enjoyed your two-handed discussions on various Springer / Ballistics subjects.

Prof. Mike seemed to have a brilliant way of putting fairly complex matters over in a way that even 'numerical numpties', like myself, could at least follow.

A very big loss to the airgun community, indeed.

I am very saddened to hear this. Mike responded to a wanted add I placed on here for a Park rifle some years ago. Upon calling Mike to discuss delivery of the rifle he very kindly sold to me, we had a lengthy conversation about air rifles and in particular about the rifles of John Whiscombe and harmonic dampening and the hammer effect. At that time I did not realise who he was and the input he had put into the development of harmonic adjusters on rifles-he just came across as another member of "our" great site with genuine passion and enthusiasm, another nice guy.

Rest peacefully Mike-my condolences to his family and all who knew him.

    Graham.
