Fun shoot at Swallows FTC - RESULTS

Firstly a BIG thanks to the lively and select crews from Buxted and Mile Oak (plus Vince, of course) who arrived both hungry and ready to help put out an interesting 15 target 3-positional comp in our South Field and the woods. I don't think we scared too many fisher-folk nor those daring to drive through the middle of the course on their way to the neighbour's airfield. And further thanks to Gerry for agreeing to the hosting and to Stewart for donning his best cammo whites to be our BBQ chef.

    Results were as follows ....

    Name Score %age
    Bob Pattenden 81 100.0%
    Chris Tyhurst 80 98.8%
    Mike Burgess 73 90.1%
    Gary Morrison 72 88.9%
    Jon Fairman 70 86.4%
    Steve Noakes 70 86.4%
    Spencer Bailey 68 84.0%
    Vince Guy 67 82.7%
    Nigel Tostevin 64 79.0%
    Jon Newton-May 61 75.3%

Stunning scores from both Splund and the Tyster And well done to everyone scoring more than 60

These informal 'fun' events truly are great places to learn; in my case that I should spend more than 10 mins zeroing a new gun/scope combo, especially when trying to do it outdoors and in a breeze. I must also grab the Nite-Eye's manual to figure out not only how to turn on the IR, but how to set the brightness. I tried shooting without it at all, and suffered on peg 14 (a black crow in a dark place) where I could see ZERO of the ret when anywhere other than in the vaguely yellowish kill

    Hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

Thanks to Swallows, yes Mr Biggles I did enjoy it very muchly.
Shooting towards the sun was a true test of scope quality (and retina light tolerance) wind was interesting too, nice level of toughness of the course to, just happy to see my little BSA wasn't just a one hit wonder.
Hey Chris, is that you down there? one point behind me, again

Yea yea Bob, I said to Sossidge halfway round(Spencer was witness!)that I had better miss a couple of kills just to give Bob a chance

Thanks to all the swallows for allowing us to come and take over your woods, and for a lovely mornings shooting, followed by some really good food thanks "Camo chef"

Good shooting from all who played, it was tough with that wind and the sun just in the wrong place.

Until the next spare ! Weekend until we can do it again
