    Light sporting rifle NSRA definition.

Can anyone shed some light on what constitutes a .22lr light sporting rifle under NSRA (uk) rules? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the rifle needed to be still in production and readily available (but I think that was air rifle (and may have been an American sight)). Would I be able to compete with an old BRNO model 2 or have to use a more modern rifle such as a CZ455 or Ruger 1022? Thanks.

Also do older .22lr rifles have to be reproofed at some age.

LSR weigh less than 4.5kg including glove and scope / sight, .22 or .22/.177 if air, no specialist clothing, 20 or 25m comps, no butt hooks, no slings. Basically a simple rifle and most use a scope but any sight can be used.
Recently my daughter has taken it up with a BSA ultra and is enjoying beating the rim fire lads up. Think if you shoot a .177 it is scored using a stepped gauge. not heard of an age of rifle rule. Basically a fun discipline and is the largest in our club. Can be slow fire precision or timed fire.

There was a trigger weight which was I think 2lbs. when I was shooting it about 12 years ago, there was a move to change it because lots of rifles could not support that.
