    Hornet K

Long shot, but does anyone have data for a .22 Hornet K ( or std Hornet come to that) with 30gn/36gn Barnes Varmint grenade ?

My book doesn't have any 30gn bullets, although the 36gn will probably be close to a 35 V-max.

    36grn bullets

Never shot 36grn Barnes but I have used 35 grn Dogtown & Vmax with 13grn lilgun with good results, I havn't chrono'd them but I know they're doing over 3000fps. That is in a standard Hornet by the way.

Cheers, I seem to have fixed whatever was stopping me being able to see PDF's on line so have been able to download from Barnes website.

Now I just need a reasonable day to get out and do some testing.

Assuming you're using lil gun on the hodgdon site both 35gr & 40 gr have min 12.5gr and max 13.5gr?

COL will depend on te bullet length (1.725 for 35gr VMax as a reference), mine 35gr VMax is loaded to 1.719"
    Thanks for looking

Yes thank you, they came through this morning Alan,
I just ran off a selection using the 30gn Barnes varmint grenades yesterday, having got access to their data, was hoping to range test today, but I'm not going out in this weather.

It seems to be pretty much across the board that with a K you can go up to 14gn at the lighter bullet weights so I'm starting at 11.5gn & working up.

Plus it's just a pleasure to use those RCBS dies.
