    New member.....Hello.

Hello all, just joined the forum as an extension to the hobby. Got back into Airgun shooting about 15 months ago and Im really enjoying it, mainly shooting in my garden (17meters) and down the local indoor range (25meters) .Hope I'm posting this in the right place by the way ? First ever gun = Brand new Webley and Scott Vulcan .22 in 1987, sold it for ale money a couple of years later at the age of 18 !!! Never mind. Cheers all 😀

Cheers for the replies........as you can imagine, when I walked into the gun shop 30 years ish after buying my Vulcan I had a bit of a shock, pre charged guns and diver's bottles etc, anyway I played it safe and after buying-selling-exchanging a couple of different springers and a co2 rifle I've ended up with a Webley Stingray II .22, LG527 .22 and a Hatsan mod25 pistol .22 guess I'm a .22 break barrel fan. Old habits die hard. Thinking of a HW35 next, well out of my wage range back in the day. A small collection is the plan, seems to be the way to go although a lot of the lads say its addictive . Great hobby though, all I'm thinking of is bloody guns !! Keeps me out of trouble and takes your mind off work 😀

I'll take it steady on the collection, as and when they come along
. I bought the Webley second hand from gun shop, the little 527 was picked up really cheaply as a second rifle incase my lad joins me. I've been offered a 1987 hw35 with open sights in good condition for £120 so having a good think about it. Any advise or opinions welcom.

A small collection would be nice, new hobby and quite enthusiastic at the moment. I've given it 15 months and it's not going away!! Looking at a HW35 at the moment, its 1987 and in good all round condition, its not mint but looks like its been used but well looked after.

    Get that HW35.
As long as you're satisfied with the condition, it'll be superb. Solid, accurate, dependable, superb trigger. It can give many much newer guns a run for the money. And can be tuned, if you wanted, to be as refined as any of the later designs.
An all time spring gun classic.

I 'returned' to the world of air guns nearly three years ago. In that time I reckon I've owned more than twenty guns - but never more than four at any one time. I've now got three guns that I'm happy with. I've learned that "less is definitely more". My advice would be to buy good guns, don't let nostalgia come into it. Yer can't beat a good accurate air gun.

Thanks guys for the comment's, I've wasted a couple of quid already swooping and changing but am getting the idea now as to what I prefer. I think buying quality guns is good advice and I've committed now on the HW35 so looking forward to it.
