both spot on wot you fancy really.
Both will cost a fair bit, but both will be worth quite a bit second hand if well looked after, and should last a lifetime Entry level Browning (B425) cheaper than Beretta, but still very good.
I have heard that the blueing (or blacking) on Berettas is bombproof (a farmer friend of mine only cleans his Beretta game gun twice a year), whereas with the Browning you'll have to keep it regularly cleaned and oiled.
Horses for courses, and try before you buy to get one that FITS you.

I own several Beretta's
where my brother has Brownings
Brownings do seem to go rusty quicker
As some would state they are only tubes with Stocks![]()
I took out the Extra warrenty 10 years on my Berreta's and got good service from them.
But as with all Gun/s it's down to personal choice and use.
Not forgetting that a Gun that Mounts great, might not be so great when being fired![]()
Try to shoot one before you buy![]()
Sometimes local Clay Shhots have Club Gun/s or try @ shoots.
Even better try them @ Game Fair where they normally run trial shoots.
BOB/R
some brownings are made by `miraku` the mk70 sport is a 525 (in drag.)
berettas have a huge history, i`m not supprised they are the number one choice.
i`m getting a white onyx 686 sport.
cant go wrong.
They're both bomb proof, i've just ordered my 3rd Beretta a 687eell game gun![]()
If I were to buy another shotgun it would be a Beretta.
And yet interestingly my usual clay shooting buddy bought a Beretta (686 I think) and I can't shoot with it for toffee - but I love my B425 - I guess it's down to what fits.
Good luck in choosing the right gun for YOU,

True enough Andrew. I believe there was a thread here yesterday that highlighted the longer standard stock length of the Brownings. I like Barettas as they fit me well, Brownings are too long for me.
