    Sunshade

    Hi
I've a hawke HK 3059 eclipse 4-16x50 irao, and I want it fit a sun shade, but Hawke tell me that don't make one for this model as the end is not threaded, but it is?
. So ...I wonder do any of you know a way around this problem?
I've heard of people fitting a different brand??
    Cheers for any help

    Muzzie

Measure it and see if any of these fit http://ant-supplies.co.uk/Pages/Rifl...SunShades.aspx

Another option if no shades fit is to use step up/down rings for camera lenses but it's trial and error getting the right combination

Last option is sell the scope and buy one that comes with a shade

The end will have a thread that the lens fits in, but that is not the same thread that a sunshade screws in to, .

Cheers angry, some else told me that, so will I find one that screws into that thread, or is that not a wise move.
Just going to look into the link.

    Hi Muzzie

Like yourself, I own a Hawke Eclipse scope, and a coupe of days ago I noticed a chap on this forum was selling a 50mm sunshade for a Hawke scope. I then checked the objective end of my Eclipse 4-12×50 and noticed that it looked threaded.

I then proceeded to phone Hawke Optics to ask if the sunshade would fit my Eclipse scope. I was told NO. The threaded feature on the now discontinued Eclipse range of scopes (like mine) is purely for cosmetic purposes only, and that no sun shade will fit this range of scope,
