Help, I've broken my bsf s70 trigger!

Took my little s70 for a quick plink today, to check the zero & noticed the trigger didn't feel quite as predictable as yesterday. After about 10 shots it came all the way back but the gun didn't discharge. Turned it upside down to look & the trigger blade fell out! It's snapped off through the line where the return spring hole is. I noticed that one half of the crack was dirty, the other clean & fresh showing it'd been cracked before I got the gun. So if anybody has a spare trigger unit, or a damaged one with an intact blade I'd happily buy it. Chambers etc all out of stock so I know it's a long shot. Luckily I managed to fire the pellet off with a screwdriver pushing on the blade base that was still in place or I'd be left with a loaded gun.

    Junglie,
Can you check to see if it is the same trigger as a b55,and or send me a photo of your trigger removed from the rifle. I may be able to help.

Help, I've broken my bsf s70 trigger

As far as I know they all take the same unit apart from the very last model b55, thanks for your offer. Edit, just checked & the s60, 70 & 55 all take the same unit apart from the b55 new model on chambers site diagrams.

I did once take a trigger unit out of a very early BSF60 (pre scope rail) http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...ml?sort=6&o=24because it was cracked and beyond repair http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...ml?sort=6&o=40

    http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...ml?sort=6&o=44

Thats when I found out the later trigger unit http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...ml?sort=6&o=47 does not match up with the early piston (rod). So I had to change the piston and well.
    I cant remember the differences.

Shame you binned it that was the same as my trigger the early type. I just need the blade itself.

I will do tomorrow pete . Not had time to strip it today. The chambers diagram shows the later b55 type unit stripped & it's blade clearly. It's not the one I need though, my blade is the more curved type with the adjuster screw just behind the blade.

Un 'bleddy' believable. I just mentioned to my Mrs that Ive thrown away a broken bit of airgun that was of some use.
She commented that "that was unusual for me and that I always hang on to cr@p!." She got me thinking. Ive just spent the past 30 minutes going through my spares and yes, I HAVE got the broken block complete with trigger blade which as the adjusting screw behind the blade. Bleddy woman knows me better than I know myself.

Keep it Ian, but thanks for your kind offer.(I though it wasn't like a fellow northerner to chuck away rare parts) The blade comes out with laminated sear riveted to it on removal of the lower pin. Pete's sorted me with one (Thanks Pete!). You never know one of your bsf's might break it's blade they're only diecast monkey metal & very thin where the laminated part attaches-a weak point on an otherwise well built gun(as well as the piston spot welds! To be fair this one had been used by a scout troop for years so did well to last this long. Thank god for wives eh? It's lucky they do know us better than we do!

Whoever gave an S70 to a Scout troop should be hunted with hounds and put in a cage in the market place for a year.

    S70 & scouts

LOL, all the people who are bothered about the galling on HW99's should see the wear under the breech on this one. I recon it'd fired a few hundred thousand pellets. All it took was some breech shims , a new breech washer & still shot well & accuratley. It had a weaker german spec spring in too.

S70 now fixed thanks to flatrajectory(Pete)

Thanks to Pete for the spare trigger blade . Fitted it today & got the old girl shooting again. I took the opportunity to stick a lube sleeve in the piston as it was a bit twangy with the new mainspring & it's shooting better than ever. Shame it was a bit windy this afternoon as once I'd set up the trigger adjustment screw to suit myself It was spot on. This one was a 50th birthday present from my wife, mum & son so will get re-blued at some time as the stock is in very good condition . I would like to try a parachute type seal in it or o ring conversion as the leather seal is a bit past it's best. I had to sell my 3 best springers to fund new teeth since xmas so this cheered me up no end.

You can get a Vortek conversion for about £15. Give Tony a call - http://www.agrtuning.co.uk/about-agr-tuning.html

    He can supply from UK.
