    Crosman 2240 - stuck CO2 cartidge

As above, went to plink with my 2240, no power so went to change the CO2 capsule thing and found that whatever I do the old one will not come out.

Anyone out there with a solution please?

It also happens when the front seal is toast.

I don't think you often get that problem with Webley Pistols

As said before it happens when you upgrade the hammer spring but do not balance the spring in the valve. The pin from the valve travels too far into the co2 cap and gets stuck. Increasing the hammer spring force you hit the limit of the internal spring. Or you may find the spring in the valve has failed having same effect.
I found reducing the friction on the hammer action, making the hammer spring adjustable, opening up the valve to allow more capacity (there was a spacer in the valve to reduce the capacity, removing the spacer still kept the power below legal max) and making the transfer port from the valve to barrel flow better made the Crosman a much more consistent pistol, hammer travels smoother and it's not got stuck for past 6 months now.
