My JB Blueprinted Ultra in 177 does around 40 shots, starts 11.2 peaks at 11.7 so about 1/2 ftlb variation. I'm unable to see any difference on poi at hunting ranges. I haven't actually counted 40 shots out as I pump mine up, so tend to fill little and often, after my initial zeroing in and chrono ing. I rate the BSA's in 177, though agree many BSA 177 barrels do only like heavy pellets (not all though)
For 'target rifle' I picked up a Hornet at a good price, I am bowled over by it's solidity, and imagine a Scorpian is much the same
Looking for TO-6 Trigger unit unmessed with or T0-6 kit for 34

You should have had that .177 example off me last year mate.

Best of both worlds: It shot 8.4s well, and had one of my rubber paint jobs!

(It was the one I had off you originally Biker Bob )
