I think the MK2 changed to two rails in 1965 John.

    mk2

good morning,i have had a look in my air rifles by dennis hiller, and he has seen a 1965-67 'ge'mk2 with 2 continuous 1/2 grooves for teles, also the rarer 1967-68 'gf'mk2 with 2 continuous 11mm grooves, hope this helps

I have two Mk2's and they are both the later two continuous grooves for sights. The Mk2's all have folding rear sights that are not fitted to other Airsporters, so just check that if you are not sure or dont know the serial pre fix.
After the nostalgic Mk1 these are probably the best Airsporter to use, due to proper scope rails and auto lifting tap with the looks of the early (if a little low for scopes) stock.
