My youngest shot our's yesterday at the local outdoor range and thoroughly enjoyed shooting it, smashing rows of 10 extra stong mints stuck to a board at 6 yards and a reactive for the 11th shot as a reward, He spent 3 hours totally committed to using the pistol, at the end of the session I put a couple of 6 yard target's up and he got great results. The use of the mints was to make it a little more fun for him and they're roughly the size of a 6 yard target area, kids like seeing the mints disintegrate, having a reactive disc at the end gave him a nice reward after hitting all the mints and a successful shot was confirmed with an exited cheer by him, For about a tenner we had a fantastic afternoon together in the sun 😃😃

As a cheap pistol to get youngsters into the sport and still achieve good results the Lov21 really does take some beating,

on a different note: whilst I am not connected to Sure Shot in any way they were one of the most friendly and helpful dealers I've used for a long time, yep you can probably can get stuff cheaper abroad but if we don't support our own retailers in what is already a difficult market tied up with burocracy and legislation we will have nome left, I remember 4 shops in my local area Some years back as well as 2 non specialised retailers to buy airguns from, we now have one

I bought my Lov21 from Sure Shot and so did another club member (Amac) after he had a go with mine. Good company to deal with and excellent pistols.

    Drulov

Hi I bought a multi shot CO2 powered Drulov with anatomical wooden grips about 10 years ago, lovely pistol came in a nice brown briefcase with tools, very accurate, although recently the seals have gone so is now leaking.

Aaah - one of these http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...l?sort=6&o=112

This http://smg.photobucket.com/user/Airs...tml?sort=4&o=9 is the 5 shot group (a 46) I did on Weds night with my slightly modified Lov 21. (10m single handed Geco pellets). Its modified in that Ive opened up the back sight groove, lubed it up (it was bone dry) added a bit of weight to the muzzle and John (GeeGee) added some push bike inner tube round the grip to aid grip. I have NOT had this pistol apart (yet )

For a cheap pistol Im very pleased.

    Lov 21

We purchased 8 of these to use in our club in Piekary Slaskie, Poland. We have converted them to bulk fill and they get quite heavy use during the winter season. We are very happy with them.

As Ian has said, a truly good pistol for not much outlay. There are now three in our club, all capable of producing the results. It is just a shame that Ian is the only one of the three of us capable of producing a decent score, although I managed a decent one yesterday afternoon. I suppose that Ian's results are partly to do with him ripping out one of his grand kids pushbike inner tubes in order to improve the grip, or the wheel balancing weights that adorn the front of the gun. My own tinkering so far has resulted in me stripping the gun and giving it a good clean, and also reducing the trigger pull weight by bending the spring.

The gun and the supplier are really very good. I just hope that I can improve my own performance before we start our" less than £150" league!

The Lov 21 truly is a bargain buy.

    http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....-21-CO2-pistol

The 'Less Than £150 League' would involve shooting a 10m compt, single handed, with a pistol that cost under £150 new. (Lov 21, CP1, etc.). Would anyone else be interested?

Come on folks! This sounds like a damned good idea to me as a) I cannot afford a "proper" target pistol, and b) It is good fun trying to produce a decent group with a gun that only costs around a ton with postage. Believe me when I say that I managed a 5 shot group including three bulls at ten metres. All of the cows kept well out of range unfortunately. If I can do it with my level of skill, imagine what anybody who is a half decent shot could do. Just check out Ian's groups elsewhere in this post. Using his "special black flatheads" even Ian keeps surprising himself!

I am that enamored with the "cheap but decent pistol" concept that I have also ordered a CP1 from Poland for just £72 posted. I doubt if the gun will match the potential of the "Luvvie" though....

The trigger can be lightened by relocating the top of the spring under the valve housing, mine breaks at 510g with no bending by doing this,

I will mention that mod to the other Luvie owners of my acquaintance Nige. You have to admit that the gun shoots surprisingly well when you consider just how basic the design is. Glad you can join us in our intended sub £150 league as well! I do hope that you are not too good a shot however!!! Looking forward to improving my own skills and hopefully being able to match the Jones level of performance within the next decade or so.

As all of these "inexpensive but good" pistols are all CO2 powered - why not include them as a separate group within the existing Carbon League rules?

The format already exists and the simple rules work well enough - we just need to have a new class for pistols with a maximum price limit of £150.

Individual entries would work well and if they are self-scored then anyone could take part wherever they live.

No entry fee would be required if everyone who enters can provide there own 10 metre targets, and a willing volunteer ( IJ ) could post the results here every month.

I think they may well out-perform or eqaul any of the existing CO2 pistols in any case and if this proves to be the case then a separate class may not even be needed

The trigger was a little heavy when I first used it however the spring can be moved in the housing to give a much lighter and crisper let off without any permanent modification to the pistol or spring.

Now whilst this pistol won't win any beauty contests it was actually very pleasant to shoot, what was more of a surprise was the single hole groups and the 46/50 & 47/50 cards I shot with it,
Conclusion, for £80 this is a great little pistol to get a youngster started in target shooting, in theory you could get the gun, a case, some pellets and Co2 caps for less the £100 which has to be a bargain.
It would also appear to like Geco's which makes it even nicer as these are also nice and cheap.
Great pistols these i first came across them 5 or 6 years ago they do indeed like Geco's i just added some stick on weights (wheel balance weights) as i found it a bit light to hold on target, and matched the scores of my target pistols, ...mike...
