It's a Diana MOD25 in.177. Serial No. J 250833 and made in Gt. Britain. Any ideas as to date of manufacture would be most appreciated.

Pretty much all the g b dianas I've seen had a year stamp in to the wooden but end unless it was rubber.
Some were lightly stamped I've seen too.
Not sure of a milbro list of dates to serial numbers .
I'm sure someone on here will know of one if their is one

Have looked more closely at butt end. Have now found a J 2 and an R. Bit like a jigsaw puzzle isn't it!! What was the serial number for?

If the stamp is a bit dodge and you have a camera with a good macro function, take an image or two then study on your monitor. Zoom in and all that sophisticated stuffOriginally Posted by graham hudson
