    Haenel model 310 questions

Bought a Haenel model 310 BB bolt action repeater couple of years ago , great little gun , low powered but fun , so I am after more info on them , were they designed as a military trainer or fairgrounds use ?
What ammo should be used , is steel ok or big NO (cant see if barrel is rifled or not ) if lead are they 4.4 mm and where can I get ammo to fit ?
What servicing / maintenance do they require other than grease on mainspring and oiled mechanisem is that it , bolt is quite hard to cock is that usual ?
a gun is just a tool how its used is dependant on the person behind the trigger .

Protek have some 4.4mm lead ball which I think is suitable for 310...(scroll down the page a bit)

I do believe I have some period ammo for these types of airguns
,( top 3 round tins in this pic...although both the S&B are actually in a cardboard tubs, one is still sealed)
    blah blah

hi, bbs : steel is IMHO NOT (never) ok. haendler & natermann (H&N) offer various bbs in different diameters. I dont own a haenel, but I would always use copper-plated bbs.

Thanks , I just ordered a 1000 , had look at your photo use to buy a pkt of those cat slugs every weekend I could get them in the 60,s for my smooth bored Diana rifle , threw all the empty cartons in the bin , after I couldn't get the Lanes I bought the Milbro ones upto mid 80,s for my own sons airguns , I always wondered why they promoted them for "Daisy " as at the time these were produced all Daisy,s around were BB only in UK at least ?

Thanks to you too aimless , the parts that "bing" translated are very interesting , I have not found a muzzle energy for it , It must be very low however as at 15ft the BB bounce off cans or wood .

After reading the second link and comparing my lead BB after firing I think mine could do with a new piston washer , he puts a figure of just over 131 fps on his chrono test , will try mine but my lead balls are still intact after firing .

I have used this firm too and the East German ball, along with the Czech tins of 600 work very well in my 310s. It's cheaper when you buy in bulk and this firm are good to deal with. Excellent selection of spares too.

For some reason I cannot get translation to work , doesn't help that I have new laptop and I am still trying to figure it all out , still on Windows but apps as well ?
I assume the Czech balls are on this page , are they coated and what is shipping like in time and cost ?

They are on the page and no they are not coated. Delivery takes around 10 days and depends on weight. A few tins worked out at around £5 postage if memory serves me correctly.
