Well my bargain of a lifetime must be the BSA Improved model D in .25 cal, which I picked up in a local auction. See this thread. Still pinch myself on a regular basis in case I wake up and it was all a dream.

One or two freebies over the years:-

A Webley Mark III back in the mid-80s.

More recent times :- HW77 Mark I, a few marks. Fitted a V-Maxh kit and new foresight/catch assembly. It now wears the synthetic thumbhole stock that the Boinger Bash Boys gave me! Total cost? £86 for the kit and foresight! Absolutely love this gun.

An Airsporter Stutzen, mint, part exchanged it for a new 97!

Umarex Walther CP88 thingie, part exchanged for a new HW40.

Cheap, a couple of years ago, a mint, hardly used 97K, with 3-9x50 budget scope and bag...£150!
THE BOINGER BASH AT QUIGLEY HOLLOW. MAKING GREAT MEMORIES SINCE 15th JUNE, 2013.
    NEXT EVENT :- August 3/4, 2024.........BOING!!

A very clean W. W. Greener air rifle in .177 cal. for free.

A colleague of mine had been given it following the death of his grandfather.

"You're into air rifles aren't you? Here - do you want this? The wife won't have it in the house."

    Why thank you sir.

I kept it for a polite amount of time and then sold it to a collector for a tidy sum!

    Just had it...

...as reported yesterday, a 22 calibre Brocock Independent rifle for £20, with a moderator, gun bag and the remains of its only tin of pellets shot.
