Is Long range shooting with .177 cal posible?

Is it possible to get a decent group at over 20 meters with .177 ammo

For sure! We have other members on here from the US of A

If you're asking about your Crosman Fury, I don't think we get that model over here. But it seems a pretty light weight springer for 1000-1200 FPS...

Perhaps a lighter spring, and aim for a little under 800 FPS.

Might make the gun a lot easier to shoot accurately.

Although 60 yards + for any springer is quite far out

Don't want to modify anything. As is it shoots at 1000 to 1200 fps and is a springer which I think makes way too much noise to use around nosey neighbors and heaven forbid there cat wonders into my yard but oh well. Not really!

Got my accuracy on target at 40 yards. After that I think I need to switch to .22 cal

Well, with these light-middle weight springers & rammers, running at USA power levels with diablo pellets - I reckon they're likely to shoot more predictably in .22 at subsonic velocity, rather than supersonic .177s

I was watching Ted's Holdover and he was shooting a .177 Hw100 at 22ftlbs and on his slow mo cam you could see the pellets spiral too many fps .22 would have been ok at that power or more

I've got 3 springers in .177 that are 100yrd shooters, a Diana 54, Diana 350 & my favorite springer, my LGV. The most accurate one is the old T01 54. It shoots CP 10.5s @ 950 with NO recoil. On a perfect windless day when I'm on my game it prints 2-3in 5 shot groups. I have no doubt the rifle is capable of much more in better hands.
