    punt gun firing

hi all,i posted here some time ago about a punt gun i bought from a relative.i thought some members of the forum would like to see it in action.subject to a sympathetic restoration i decided to make a firing platform for use on dry land.i aquired a diddy halfords trailer, some box section and some wood and rope.i ended up with a jolly little jobbie that works just fine.gun weighs about 60-70 pounds, lenght is eight ft.bore is one and a half inches.the lock has been converted from flintlock to a percussion system which uses a shotgun primer. bearing in mind the guns great age[200?] i used a moderate load of 1 1/2 oz of coarse black powder and 12oz of no4 shot.the recipient of this was an old cooker on the far right of the video.apologies for video quality but i think you will get the general idea,cheers..greasemonkey https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MsT3...ature=youtu.be

THanks for sharing that, there were a number of these in the old Lincoln museum, and I always wondered what they went off like!
    All the best
