    Pulsar

    One in our local RFD.
Looked at it yesterday and not keen.

Had 10 minutes with it today and discovered some of its features.
Great cocking action, easy switch to leftie, auto laser, spirit level.
Nice to hold and good handling.

Even the looks are growing on me.

So now Im thinking maybe the price is the real problem.

I keep thinking about it which is a good/bad sign!

Please oblige with some well researched abuse before I see it again.

Accuracy was not as good as with the much cheaper Bobcat.

Without a proper pellet test, that's rather inconclusive!

My Hw100 groups best with Webley Mosquito, My Hw77FT with JSB exact express, supposedly the same pellet, so until you go through an assortment of pellets and different dies I would say that's open to speculation, especially as it's a LW barrel which work very well on many rifles

Nimrod177 is a gun dealer, he is in the trade. So lets assume he knows a thing or two about guns.

you can assume what you like, but until a proper test is done your just guessing!

I have three comp rifles, all require different dies for best groups, until you do that it's inconclusive!

Using your basis my hw 77FT is more accurate than my AA Pro Target with JSB8.44, really?

Changing the die number on a tin can have a considerable effect on accuracy, just assuming that because one pellet works in one barrel they have to work in all is foolish!

I have not heard anything bad about the Pulsar from anyone who has got one and spent any time with it, that in it's self is strange, as they have not said too much about the good either - but I kind of suspect the first lot of guns are being snapped up by the people who like to collect rather than use their gun - and that's fine, it just slows down the feedback on quality/accuracy etc.

My personal opinion - and I have not shot one, is that if I try it I may want it, so I'm trying to stay clear as I prefer traditional guns and don't want to splash out £2k

But I expect it to be good

I've never held one but I do like how it looks - appart from the handle, it would have been nice to see something more integrated into the gun. Maybe a more traditional thumbhole type in the wood.

I don't doubt that it's a very capable rifle. I just find that the older I get, I seem to like things to be more simple - I'd chose an original Ford Mustang over a new Ferrari any day.

    All of the above.
