@ 18wheeler: I believe Chippendale was taking pics on Saturday, round the fire.

@ Chippendale: Are you going to post any please Mel?

IF you've not been to a Quigley Hollow Bash before, here's another chance to experience something special....More than 70 people on here would assure you this is true !

    Indeed, Gwyn.

It's always interesting to talk to a Bash newbie and see what they think.

Usually, they'll say that, on getting close to the Hollow, a little "fear of the unknown" and trepidation sets in. Maybe it's those sinister looking springs on the road signs?

But, once they've parked up and approached the tunnel, it's very quickly apparent that it's a laid-back, friendly event, with the emphasis on having fun and being able to meet / converse with like-minded peeps. Shoot your own guns and get the opportunity to try out so many more different guns in different states of fettle.

People who've been before love the event and can't wait for the next instalment and many, many strong friendships have been forged at the Hollow.

To say that it's a life-changing institute would be no exaggeration.

    Get in there, peeps..

Aye up Gwyn, I did take some photos round the fire on Friday evening and I also took some on the Saturday afternoon of the event, but Im afraid i have tried and failed many times to post photos on the BBs. If any one is willing to give me their email addy and are able to post them on the BBs i will be only too pleased to send them.
There was somebody else taking photos on the Saturday, well he had a camera with him but I never actually saw him I use it, I am assuming he did, it looked a really good camera, wondered at the time if it was somebody from a shooting magazine.

    Regards

    Mel

    Hi Mel

That chap was Rupert, who lives on his boat at Duck Bend during the Summer months.

I've left word at Crazy Kev's canal side shop for Rupert to contact me.

    Welcome to my world.

    All the best Mick

After a night of drunken ebaying I now own two generators. One cost me twenty pounds so try not to break it with your curling tongs Tinbum.

Ask him what sort of camera he had with him Mick, i'm interested to know.
Sent Gwyn some photos they are not David Baily quality but it will let the rest of the BBS members into our world.
Did you ask about that little item of the portaloos yet?
    Cheers

    Hi Mel

If Kev doesn't see Rupert over the weekend I'll go and find him and I'll ask about his camera for you.

    You're a top gent, Craig.

Which guns are you thinking of building up for the Bash, Craig?

If you struggle for time, can lend you something, no worries.

    A World of contrasts.......

This time last week I was looking forward to two days of peace, tranquility and well-being at the Hollow. Two days surrounded by my favourite toys and the lovely people who attend, and make up, the fantastic Bash event.

This week.....silly late finish and been running about like a mad thing.....Tomorrow's our Ducati Roadshow Open Day.....Loud and crap music and catering to the needs of loads of test ride pilots....some are nice, genuine enthusiasts and potential buyers, the others will be just free-loading joyriders!

Early start, late finish and head, no doubt, frazzled by the end.

Roll on Wednesday for my day off.

Roll on seven weeks and a day until the Bash and meeting up with all the lovely Boingerpeeps again!

Mmmmm......I'm more concerned for his young lady wife, Nick.

Little will she know the consequences and deep meaning of KitKat acceptance!

Have you had a word yet, Phil?

    Hi Gwyn

It looks like you'll be spending quite a bit of time at Quigley Hollow this year as I see you've got your name down for the AirArms owners Club charity meet being held here on 1st/2nd August.

    http://www.airarmsownersclub.com/vie....php?f=2&t=469

This is why I bought a TX last weekend, as I didn't want to feel left out --- though now I've been told you don't need to own an AirArms gun to attend.

    All the best Mick

PS:- if you spend much more time here you may as well leave your tent set up and I'll just mow round it.
