I have owned, or shot, held or seen basically most of the airguns on the market, for me im more into replica airguns, but the ones in my collection that i will never get rid of are my umarex beretta 92fs, and my one of a kind colt custom 1911.

The reason i would never get rid of my beretta 92fs is because i think they are art work pistols, but my umarex beretta is over 10 years old now and has seen A LOT of action but is still going strong, its powerful and very accurate it will compete with a target pistol at 6 yards and 22ft.. Heres some pictures i have given it a new look as well.

Next is my KWC 1911, its now a one of a kind Colt Custom 1911, these are as close to a real cartridge pistol your going to get, i also shoot cartridge firearms including a .22lr long barrel 1911 and i get just as much fun out of my airgun as i do that..
My Colt Custom 1911 is my pride and joy in my collection and i have a few sets of grips for it as well, here are some pictures..

Thats a nice looking colt, what was the original gun ? A true KWC or one of the many rebrandings ??

it was the KWC Swiss Arms P1911, Which has a slightly more powerful blowback then the Tanfoglio Witness 1911. The Umarex M45 1911 also has a stronger blowback too, but they are all made by KWC..

I have just shot a real 1911 and have a Tanfoglio witness which I am very fond of but the blow back pistols are a pale imitation of the real thing. Although the trigger on the Tanfoglio is much lighter than the one on the 1911 which was a tuned one. I have been spoilt by shooting target pistols with their superb triggers

I also shoot cartridge firearms as well, you could say any airgun dont come close to the real thing, even more so with target pistols and PCP rifles..

Did you shot a .45acp 1911? if so no airgun recoil will ever come close to the feel of that your right, one of our club guns is a long barrel .22lr 1911 and the recoil on that is strong but less then the .45acp, my Colt M45 CQBP FDE 1911 has the strongest blowback that i have felt in any air pistol, around 40% weaker then the .22lr 1911.


blooregard if you do, co for the Colt M45 CQBP's the blowback is the best, but they will be harder to fully polish because of the rail etc.. Yeah its surprising how many people dont know they are not made by umarex but are KWC, just like the colt pythons too, umarex hardly make any airguns now apart from their rotory magagazine pistols, most air pistols on the marks are made by KWC or Wingun etc..

Yes it was a .45 1911, I didn't mention the caliber as I sort of consider the only real 1911s are the ones in .45. I decided to shoot a box of .45ACP and the only choice I could make of the Ranges hire guns was a 1911.
I suspect there is more energy in one round of .45ACP then a 12g capsule of Co2 I just didn't want people to think that shooting a blowback is just like shooting the real thing

To be honest chap, I thought the M45 was a Umarex pellet shooter. I admired the finish on pics I've seen but I haven't seen one in the flesh. What I like about your polished 1911 is that you have taken the time to get it stamped and have polished it to the extent that it no longer looks like pot metal!!

I don't think many people think that dude, I think that a lot of people on here have probably shot powder burners in the past, or maybe recently while abroad. EDIT : Actually, from the number of people who post videos or comments on YT asking about bb guns for self defence you never know!

I already have a couple of different 1911s so might pick one as a candidate for a polish! I had no idea that the M45 was a KWC model though.
