I know there have been recent threads surrounding ultra rare guns and also a few really nice giffards but take a look at this, some may have seen it before and considered buying it:

definitely a shy pre-roman prototype: model "Hadrian" (bluebook - page 1680).
Another original can be seen at London Science Museum!

It's a driftwood - foot pump - garden sprayer Giffard...would look absolutely mustard with some Gem sights on it

Edit: Hahahah...just noticed...is that a door knob on there too?...

how do you load it?...perhaps a nice safety feature would be little sliding plaque on the stock to tell you if it was "vacant" or "occupied"?

    Hi Ray,

Cheers, hadn't seen it 'til now but holy moly, how much?!...I think there are less than a handful of these Jean Marck pistols known to exist? (ccdjg knows more about these )...not 100% sure (never seen one in the flesh..) but that one looks like a No.1 air pistol...

I have a couple of donor guns...
    blah blah

There's no mention of the pistol being dual purpose for air or cartridge so it is probably the No. 1 . When I saw the price of 2,500 euros I was already making plans to cash in and upgrade my car. Then I realised the seller had had no intention of selling it - he was just using eGun as a platform for finding out what the gun was. So 2,500 euros was just his insurance policy against selling. Damn.

    well well

Four hundred views on this forum alone and its still for sale.
I think the seller must have put it on for a laugh, but why pay the fees to put an ad on gunstar? I assume its not free?
I was actually embarrassed for him ! anyway time to move on and thanks for the support comments theyve made me smile..

If it was Jason save your embarassment for somebody capable of feeling shame.

+1 on that. I think it is Jason - he uses a number of different trading names
