I would say that the scope rail and the barrel shroud are all one unit , this then slides onto a vertical holding plate on the block and fastened with a brass pin. It looks strong enough to me I cannot wait to see it in the flesh so to speak.
Looking at the pics of the Pulsar it appears that only the rearward part of the rail is attached to the receiver. The forward part of the scope rail is resting on the barrel shroud.
Anyone see this as a problem ?

If it is a permanent attachment to the shroud it is an invisible joint.

Update: from the Daystate Owners forum; the front section of the scope rail is not attached to the shroud.

Its fitted very firm to the barrel and not the shroud, i seen one stripped yesterday at Daystate.

If you look at the rear of the barrel just in front of the bolt housing , there is a sleeve about 3inc long this is held in a number of places with grub screws. The mount is the screwed to that, this is all very precision made.

Thanks for that.
Confirming that the Pulsar scope rail is only attached at one end, the receiver.
This is unlike the approach of FX where the scope rails on both bullpups, the FX Wildcat and Bobcat, are secured front and rear.

The Pulsar rail is a practical design as it needs to be high due to the position of your head on the action. Its a very nice rifle.
