I'm very interested in the outcome of this, I have a tin of JSB Exacts 4.51 that are shooting all over the place, unfortunately I don't have anything that will weigh them accurately.

Here's the batch number. 1020014 at 4.52 is that what you want,,,fella,,,,,,,,,,pops

I got the tin from my club stock of pellets to do a test on my new HuMa regulator with but the readings were all over the place ,being a good brand of pellets ,yeah right, but having weighing them I was , well not happy . I have RWS super domes and they are great but as for the JSBs must be a bad batch and who said that air arms pellets and JSBs are the same I'm not sure on that one.The only thing I've seen bad about A/A pellets is the damaged one in the tin.

In the hope of in part answering your question I weighed 30 pellets from one of my tins of JSB Exact Pellets Batch Number 44000013, cal 4.53 mm, and obtained the following results using a "My Weigh i201" balance and a " Pact Digital Precision Powder Scale". Each pellet was weighed sequentially on the two machines in the order of : My Weigh/Pact

    8.3/8.4 8.3/8.5 8.4/8.4
    8.3/8.4 8.3/8.3 8.4/8.3
    8.3/8.4 8.3/8.5 8.5/8.4
    8.4/8.4 8.5/8.6 8.5/8.5
    8.4/8.3 8.3/8.3 8.3/8.3
    8.3/8.5 8.5/8.6 8.3/8.3
    8.3/8.4 8.4/8.3 8.3/8.3
    8.5/8.4 8.3/8.3 8.5/8.5
    8.4/8.5 8.4/8.5 8.5/8.5
    8.4/8.3 8.5/8.4 8.4/8.4

Weights are in grains to one DP and at the end of the exercise the weights for the total sample on each of the balances in sequence was 252.6/253.0 gns.

The results look fairly consistant to me considering the use of "home user" grade weighing equipment, all but 8.4 gn +/- 0.1 gn.

Thanks for that and your effort in this, it's very good of you ,so with this I must have a very bad tin full ,
But what I can't understand is its nearly all the tin not just say 50 or 60 pellets but 90% of them ?? Don't
    get it ?? Pops

They are made in the Czech republic.

Also go back to the shop where you bought them from

    As above really....

I weighed some 4.52 batch 2000015 a few weeks ago and got a min 0f 8,3 to a max of 8,6 on the full tin so yours seem to have a dreadful weight spread. I would have said the scales were pants but if your other pelelts weigh fine then logically it's a poo poo batch

Have several batches far worse than op 7.2 to 8.8 weigh out 500 and get 70 off within 8.2 to 8.6 than 4 head sizes none above 4.48.
I would say his scales are out generally 0.6gr, lead costs money.

Weight aint that critical, its the sizing.
Quite a few batches cant even get a chrono reading within 70ft/sec, and your run of the mill chrono can only register each shot -8/+8ft/sec on every shot.
