    Gas ram for a Prosport

    Hi,

I've just been looking on BAR's new web site and I see that the same Ox-spring is used for the BSA Supersport and all Air Arms springers. You can get a gas ram for a BSA Supersport so - has anyone tried to fit a gas ram into their Prosport? Would that be sacrilegious? I'm not planning to do it - just wondered if it was possible!

    Diolch / thanks,

    Richard

    Gas Ram

    Guys,

I swapped out the spring on my Webley Eclipse and it transformed the rifle.

I would put my Eclipse up against an TX for power and accuracy anytime.

If they do one to fit your rifle, I advise you to get it done, the difference is amazing.

How much more than 12 ft/lbs does it do then

Not better than an AA TX and even with a ram never will be sorry.

    Definite heresy..!

With all the Theobens around, why ruin a perfectly good Prosport..?
(even if it could be done)

I would like to know how to fit a gas ram designed for a BSA into a TX/Pro sport, the TX has a piston rod and the BSA doesn't, which means you cant do it

I'd like to know exactly how the Ox spring has improved your eclipse

    Guys,

I added a gas ram not an Oxspring.

Made a tired old rifle into a right stormer, 11.8 lbs on the chrono and as I said I would put it up against an AA200tx anytime. Having shot both, mine is lighter and as accurate and hits just as hard.

Turned it from a not too bad into a keeper.
