    Dish Washer

    Anybody used a dishwasher for cleaning a black powder revolver, if yes what washing additive did you add for the wash. and what did you use after the wash.

    A1. Yes.

    A2. None.

    A3. Clean cold water.

    Be careful what you add or it might take the bluing off it.

    I should have added Stainless Steel not blued. My stupid fault, I believe the blued type should be cleaned in the dishwasher.

    Why pi--about with a dish washer.?? Takes five minutes to clean em in hot soapy water and i find
    it quite therapeutic. Tim

    I've considered it but lead and powder residue going where I put things I eat off doesn't really appeal.
    It's all forgotten now, but Rockers and Mods only started fighting as the Rockers were annoyed at having some of their comments removed

    It's fine, watch if cleaning stainless guns with blue sights like the ruger, mine turned white haha

    Haha trust the Americans, eat anything lol.
    The point of the hot water etc if working correctly won't mix with your food, plus much worse things on the plate

    I used to put the ROA cylinder in the dishwasher. Did an excellent job and I don't think I can get it that clean with a toothbrush in the sink. If you have access to one, I would say use it.
