    Done .22 it is then

Found a perfect .22 liner - and old Crosman 2200 drinking straw barrel - only 8mm OD.

Just ordered a 300mm long 8mm drill bit from China (about £3) and then we'll get cracking

    The pilot on the drill!

Piloted drill, follows the bore or are you going to put the drill in the tail stock and spin the barrel

The latter Bear in mind it's only an 8" barrel on an air pistol, even if it wanders a little it's not really going to make any difference !

Of course, although if it goes according to plan, it should be almost impossible to see any difference from stock

My .22 scorpion's barrel wasn't straight so I replaced it with a .177. I've no idea what energy it produces though so I was wondering which piston produces the higher velocity?

My little barrel relining project was sucesfull

Got back from Zambia this morning to find my 14" 8mm drill bit (about £4 from China) waiting for me, so I finished the job in about 30 mins

Most pellets now sit normally in the breach area, without falling an inch down ! Power, unsurprisingly, is up significantly as a result.

It's buring a little oil, so will wait for it to settle and see how accuracy is, but it is bound to have improved now the pellets actually seal in the bore !

Was trying to work out how to take a picure, but there really isn't much to see...

Thanks to Mick for the idea - a great way to sort a pistol or a short barreled rifle with a crap bore....

Great thread- especially the title. Bought a fairly rough example myself recently and paired it to a shoulder stock and compact little rifle scope. Great set up, lots of fun, and a massive nostalgia rush

Both my .177 and .22 suffer from this afflication. The .177 disappears a fair way down my barrel, lol.

It's nice to know it can be done, shame i've no barrels spare.
