    Walther LGU/LGV trigger

I have been having a look around my Walther triggers - so I made this video to try and make sense of the adjustment

    Thanks for that excellent video.

I adjusted mine with the aid of a diagram I found (somewhere!)

It was awful when I got the LGV 2nd hand but a couple of minutes had it just right for my sense of feel.

Biggest problem was finding the right size tool to make the adjustment.

Always good to see the full sequence of operation.

Thanks, that is even more helpful than the earlier Solway video. But what still bothers me about it, even after adjustment, is the effort needed to release the second stage. We can chew it over at the Bash?

    Of course mate

When you told me about your trigger being heavy - I took the trigger unit apart on my LGV and made this video. The sears engagement is very light to trigger so I wondered what was causing the 'weight'. The trigger weight spring (at the bottom of the casing behind the trigger blade) can make a big difference so try backing it off a little. Other than that, if you have adjusted it - is the second stage screw doing all the work? The leverage offered by the second stage screw is a lot less than that offered by the first stage screw so I can only imagine that this would make the trigger very heavy to fire.....

I will be at the bash early on Saturday - fat bloke with a beard...

After watching your video, and having an hour free, I took the trigger apart again and just looked at it. Didn't touch anything, just wiped off a bit of grease that had migrated from the spring, and put it back together, with the weight spring exactly where it was, just enough engagement not to fall out, but not doing any work. refitted and tried it out, thought "this is lighter", so put the scale on it and it now triggers at 2lbs! I can live with that! But why did it change? We can discuss at the bash!

I am the tall thin one with glasses, and very little visible hair.

It actually took me 3 attempts to put the trigger back together and working sweet! Its that split case malarky - you have to make sure all the pins are seated nicely in the first half of the casing with all the sears seated as they should be then gently let the second half of the case drop onto the top. If you have to force anything it simply won't work right when its back together.....
