    loading info required

I have my name down at my local RFD's for a Pedersoli .45 "W.Parker" muzzle loading pistol. What sort of loads do people use?
Does any body have plans for a reloading stand for it.
    Thanks

The loads recommended by the manufacturer are usually far too small. I think they err on the low side to avoid any claims. If you use more than they suggest then you have no claim if something goes wrong.
The best way is to start with their load, (even if the balls drop short of the target), and then work it up in small increments until you get a load that is acceptable.

I accidently double charged a Pedersoli .36 Charles Moore. I loaded it and then loaded it again. ie Powder/ball +Powder/ball. I put the gun on the ground and jammed it in place and tied a long piece of string to it and fired it from a few yards back. (It was an open air range). The gun went off and it did not cause not any damage so I would not worry about putting a little too much powder in while you are working the load up.
