Sussex Interclub HFT 2015 - Round 5 Results

    Hi everyone

Sorry for the delay in posting today’s results. Had been booked to drive straight from the competition to Mayfield to trim my sister’s bushes

BIG thanks to the Hobbits for putting in many days of hard graft to bring us a very new course and several new targets. Very challenging ……. unless your name was Alex.

Almost no wind – not even the weakest of breezes – but plenty of range traps … unless your name was Alex.

Good visitor turnout again, from Essex and Meon and the day saw the first ever clearance of Buxted ….. if your name was Alex. We also awarded the first 2015 SIHFT Platinum badge award (well done Simmmo).

Very few Gold badges, all down to an Alex, but a good selection of Silvers and bumper crop of Bronze winners, most clenching their teeth as they collected them.

Here is the full set of results, topped by someone called ….. Alex (top shooting, Sir!)

Thanks to Buxted for a great course, apart from the extreme moisture, sort it out lads
Pleasure as usual shooting with Gary and Alex, many thanks for the lifts guys.
I must say, Tugg shot very well for a "drowned rat", he must have felt at home in that deluge .

    Thank you, Buxted!

One of the very best courses I've ever shot - really well thought-out and thoroughly enjoyable

All the chaps from Meon Valley A.C. echoed these sentiments, and it looks as if a fair few of us might be heading back over for the UKAHFT round in a fortnight's time.

Be good to see you all again, hopefully we can have some wind to make it a little bit more lively than Sundays dead calm conditions. Also we will be venturing out into the field which always adds another dimension.

A bit of breeze and no rain would be perfect - especially for a certain individual amongst our number who looked out of his window last Sunday morning, saw that the weather in Hampshire was good, assumed the same to be the case in Sussex, and headed over to Buxted with only his rifle, a T-shirt and a pair of sunglasses

Am liking the idea of shooting in the field - open land is something that we are not blessed with at Meon's home ground, and it's always good fun to have some new challenges/experiences (apart from morris dancing and incest, naturally )
