My vote goes for light cleaning but not re-blue. It is in original condition and should be left to proudly show its history.
Webley Premier 'B' Series - 'Oil' stamping on cylinder.
Anybody know what Colin Molloy charges to reblue a Webley pistol
This 100% original Premier has had a bit of an attack of rust after being left in a shed, Fortunately he has not gone too far with cleaning it up.
The question is: should it get a reblue, be left as is ( shoots fine ) or be broken for spares.
He doesn't want to keep it, as his eyes are too old and his hands shake!
The grips and screw heads are all perfect, spring and piston look fine.
Rear plug is untouched
My vote goes for light cleaning but not re-blue. It is in original condition and should be left to proudly show its history.

I agree with the above as well. All is present and correct here and in fact the pistol has a nice overall patina. I would lightly clean it, oil it and enjoy it!
A light clean with 0000 grade wire wool and oil is all I would do and perhaps a light touch up with cold blue in the places which are pitted. I certainly would not recommend a full re blue, not just because it ruins the pistol's history but also because the cost of a reblue is unlikely to be recouped on this pistol if/when it is sold.

Ok message received.
I will clean it up this pm, lube it up and put it over the chrono.
It will get sold as it's my neighbors who wants rid and I don't collect Webleys - cue IJ
