I still think the pre-war Mk1 price was a blip, but I am going to update my estimate to £750 hammer so around £1000 with costs.

Who is altering their guesstimate on the basis of this?....http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....56#post6759556

Well the post war one sold for a hammer price of £2100 and the prewar sold for a hammer price of £1500..... Hammer plus 30% commission several people really wanted them....
Hi Guy,
It seems Webley air pistol prices are still quite buoyant, but I still can't help feeling the world has gone a bit mad.
I originally estimated the cased, post-war Senior at £600 hammer so around £1000 with costs which put me in my place. I felt better when the pre-war cased Senior with incorrect oil can sold for £1,500 as I have a similar pistol with original accessories which cost me a good deal less than that when I bought it.

Wow, that is crazy. I was tempted by the post war 'Monte-Carlo' label but eventually did not bid as I suspected it would go for silly money. I would never have suspected it would have fetched quite so high a price though. Both look like record prices for Webley air pistols. Wonder who the bidders were?

Ouch....
Still not sure what the final hammer price was though... £2500 or £2100 as posted earlier?
Holy Hell I have a fortune in my fathers loft
