Webley Pistol Collectors - Test your market knowledge

Brian very kindly put up a thread about the Sept auction that Holts are running.

In that auction is a cased post war Senior with oil can and pellet tin.

    Here: http://auctions.holtsauctioneers.com...9712&saletype=

A few people have speculated what it may make,so just for fun and to test your knowledge on market value I propose that we speculate on the 'Hammer' price of lot 620.

Closest to the hammer price wins ----- being smug for the day !

    I'll start :- £735

I think it will do £480 and personally I wouldn't even pay that but I know it appeals to some, it's a lot of money right now and there will be Auction costs on top of the hammer price.

    Hi,

I will stick with my original high end estimate of £600 hammer which would equate to around £800 with costs. This is based on an expected dealer price of circa £900, but as this an auction, I guess anything can happen.

    Regards

    Brian

Someone will probably pay around a grand all in for this, so I reckon a hammer price therefore of £810. What is the prize for the winner by the way as I don't want to be entering a competition for nothing!
