Nice looking set Brian. Notice how the breech of the Mk1 drops down into the case more than a Senior. Mk1s fit but not quite as snugly as a Senior.

Don't the catalogue compilers have any idea as to the value of items they are selling. £80 - £100 GBP estimate is beyond a joke, it's bloody ridiculous. Anybody who is going to bid will probably know the true value, so why treat prospective buyers as idiots.
Put another zero at the end of both figures and they would be a lot nearer it's true value, particularly with what looks to be a pre war box in excellent condition, and the original instructions and sales booklet.

It's an old auctioneer's ploy. Put on a low estimate to stimulate bidding. A £250-£300 estimate might make lots of people not bother bidding because they think they've no chance of getting it. The more bidders there are, potentially, the higher the price will climb.
The South of England has 2 good things, the M1 and the A1. Both will take you to Yorkshire.

Of course, now that it's been high-lighted on here, there's even less chance of it selling at a bargain price. But I've banged that drum before.

I know it's an auctioneers ploy, but why treat their prospective purchasers as idiots, as any prospective collector/purchaser will know an item's true value.
As a prospective purchaser, you would like the item advertised to be known about by as few people as possible, whereas if you are a seller, just the opposite applies, so mentioning the item on the BBS may well benefit the seller, but with the internet as developed as it is, there is little chance of an auction item going unmentioned.
