    Bullet Heads.........arrrgh!

Was browsing in the NRA range office at Bisley yesterday and saw some boxes on PPU bullets. Upon closer examination I could see that they were Henry Krank's and the professional packaging proclaimed the contents to be (various calibres of ) "PPU Bullet Heads". I was suspicious of this, thinking that they might be forgeries.

    A little interweb searching shows:

The PPU website simply (and correctly) describes them as "Bullets"

The Kranks website makes extensive reference to Bullet Heads.

.......so this would seem to be something originating within Kranks themselves.

    Disappointing.

Shameful to hear that a retailer of ammunition components is using incorrect terminology.
A round is comprised of 1 x cartridge case, 1 x primer, 1 x bullet and is filled with a quantity of propellant.
It really is that simple; enough said.

I pinged them a message via the "Contact Us" page on their website - will post their response (if I get one).

I imagine they'll be horrifed, and will undertake immediately to change both their website and the packaging of the bullets.

    heads

I have been shooting for 42 years and in the days of pistols cast many tens of thousands of bullet heads for our loading sindicate and the question often asked was how many 44 or 38 heads have I cast so I have always called then heads,
I love my country, but fear my government
