Controlling standing shots.

You might get away with a folded over the arm-type shot with something short and light like an ultra, but something the length and weight an hw100 will be all over the place so best avoided.

I've just tried this with my FX Wildcat, which is both short and light and it seems very promising. It was a no-go with an HW100TK with lightweight cylinder.

My method: Get in your usual offhand standing position, then release the forend and grasp your other elbow.
The base of the pistol grip then rests on your (non-trigger) upper arm or elbow.

I'm not a talented shooter and my score has hovered around 85% for years, but the sight picture was dancing much less vigorously than usual, and I managed 5 bulls in my first 10 shots.

I think I shall practice this some more...
