The first comp tube I sleeved, was a 26mm hw, I sleeved reamed and then honed to 25mm, it was a right faff, and difficult to size properly as my bore comparator does not go down to 25mm.
The precision tube is very good to start with as its drawn.

My elder brother, ( a retired engineer), put me on to labrynth sealing its used on gas compressors where lube and friction are important, just experimenting at the moment.
cant do 22mm id x 1.5 wall nick but got an idea .
especially if its for a tx......say it is

Are the Hatsan 55/60 rodless? I'm thinking, they're longer stroke? Which'd be what's needed for the "small bores" to work?
I think there is a flaw with a rodless, bodiless piston design....

Didn't realise we were talking "bodiless"!

Beats better than headless, though; now, THAT would be a silly idea!!!!

    it's quite good stuff nick.

measured some up last night for roundness of bore and consistency along the 150 mm length that a tube would be ..

knocked spots off a nearly new std tx tube... the variation was shocking

Interesting to hear. Empirically I have found a lot of variation in TX tubes; there are definitely good and bad....

It had a lovely cross hatch finish .
Just no where near straight walls or round bore

Which rather explains why o-rings can give mixed results in them...

    (is Nick listening ? )
