. Mick and shirly and others put a lot of work in behind the scenes to get the event set up. It is a cracking wknd and very informal..

I remember my first visit to bash a few yrs ago. I did not know anyone there, i just rocked up with my springers and shot.
I Talked a lot, had good food. It really is a friendly place to come visit, camp over etc. It is so informal and it is always great to chat about airguns with like minded people.
Dont be put off if your springer has not got the in tune, or this kit, or that kit in it.
It is a few days to be able to shoot what you have and enjoy good company. It is also a great place to shoot others rifles that have had some tinkering..or shoot some child hood dream rifles that you never owned.
It really does not matter what springers you have, but it is great to be able to shoot them .)
It is also great to be able to chat to the shed tuners if you have interest in what they do .)
. All in all a great time to be had.

So many valid points put across up above and cementing the feeling that newcomers come along and fit in and feel comfortable straight away.

And, as Mick has said on the main thread, when we managed to get our first event off the ground, no-one really knew what to expect and we all probably got to that very first, pivotal Saturday morning with a great deal of trepidation.

Any worries were unfounded....Get together a bunch of like-minded, genuine people, all with a passion for our airguns, and success was sure-fire and guaranteed. And Mick's cool, laid back and humorous and warm character more than helped.

Father and son plinkers come, some very mature chaps come along, many husband and wife teams attend, world class shots come and are more than willing to impart their knowledge. And even the highly prized Jim Tyler has twice attended, and vows to visit again.

BBF, hope you're keeping well and that the Air Arms event was a success and that all who came along enjoyed.

Will you be coming to the September Bash?

Excellent; look forward to seeing you once again.

I think one or two of the boys have had a little playtime with the Cometas.

I've never seen one in the flesh; would it be okay to have a go, please?

    Question Neil180?

Anyone heard much from Neil recently?

He was very prolific tinkering away and posting and doing videos etc around the time of the last Bash, but seems to have gone quiet.

I know he'd mentioned that he would be retiring. Maybe he's away at the moment?

Hope you're okay, Neil, and coming a-boinging to this Bash.

    So, really, WHERE IS Hal?

    And Neil?

Papa Cleary and the boys - I'm sure Pops said they'd be coming along.

And where's Clogger been hiding recently?

    Come on, boys, shout up.

Better keep this on page one.

Sadly unable to attend as I will be on holiday. However, if there is a Bonfire Bash, I'll attend that. Have a great weekend for 5th & 6th

Sorry to hear that you won't be able to attend, Mark. You'll be much missed.

However, have yourself a fantastic holiday and I look forward to seeing you at the next Bash.
