Fun at the range today with the 586

One of our members is George from Bulgaria, he came into the air range to see what all the noise was and looked gob smacked at what I was shooting. Let him have a go. Now this guy has rifles and real hand guns back home, but hasn't shot any pistols for about two years. The bugger, 10 shots inside a 50p size at 10m and never shot it before. He taught me a thing or two about the correct two handed hold and bracing arms out stretched out as far as poss. Woo hoo group size came right down, kind of addictive these things aren't they
And then an ice hockey game broke out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0woZ...layer_embedded

Hi mate, sounds like you had a good time at the range..
    Not bad grouping that either,

your find quite a lot of people new or even not new to handguns target shooting will first of start shooting with the combat arms bent stance, dont get me wrong nothing wrong with that stance but its just not optimum for target shooting, it is best for combat though, As you found out arms stretched out tends to be better for target shooting and you get surprising much better results..

Im the same i get to shoot all types on live round cartridge firearms, but i love my airgun collection and i get just as fun in using them too, plus you can shoot them at home, lol cant beat that a.

    Happy Shooting mate..
Some of my favourite guns in. You collection, Umarex Beretta 92fs - Colt Custom 1911 - Walther Lever Action - TM Hi-Capa Custom Build Project - Colt SAA .45 & many more..

I also recently bought a Umarex 686. I must admit that of all my pistols, this one is the most challenging and enjoyable to shoot. A truly excellent replica. My own best score ex 100 using the 10m target pistol single handed stance is currently a poor 64, but more enjoyable than an 80 plus using a "proper" LG 400 Walther match pistol!
