BP Shotgun Cartridge reloading kit needed

    Hi all,

Couple of places I thought I could have posted this, forgive me if this is the wrong place.

I've got two lovely old BP 12 bore shotguns.

Ones an Adams single bore, the other a Jackson SBS.

Looking to reload some cartridges to put through them, but need the reloading gear.

Does anyone have a Lee Loadall, cartridge rim former and any other components they are looking to sell? (Primers, shot, wads, etc)?

    Cheers all!

Kranks do shot and wads as well as some other bits and bobs for a flat rate of four quid delivery unless you add powder or primers. The shot is £45 for 7 kilos which is about 19 pence a shot with a 1oz charge. It would be cheaper to just replace the powder in some modern carts.

BP in a shotgun is great fun though, totally different feel to modern powders.

Clay & Game in Hull are cheaper with their shot.

And there is Folkstone Engineering which is nearer to you.

10kg including delivery £39.50 (mainland UK - please check your post code when ordering).

    Trev

He certainly is, dropping all the kit off around my parents house, very decent of him! :-)

Looking forward to writing up the experiences here soon.

Someone popped in to Adams & Co.'s shop in 1870 something and made some notes in one of his price list books...

Extra close shooting 30/- per gun extra
    Thomas's top snap action 30/-
    Rebound locks 15/-

God bless that unmentionable auction site

Edit: IIRC Adams nearly went out of business when he sold someone a shotgun that burst, an early experiment with steel rather than twist

Interesting! Hope the single barrel Adams isn't isn't one of his steel specials! It is steel barrel!
