    I have worked on both. The 65 is far more sophisticated but if looked after does not give trouble. Once you have fitted a set of seals it should last you the 20 years. The Walther is less complex and a basic springer pistol, very easy to maintain. John Knibbs has the leather piston washer, not sure what Protek supplies. To make a polyurethane one on a lathe would be very easy. To make a choice between these pistols I would decide which one I prefer to shoot, and I would chose the FWB 65. You are optimistc that we can still own them in 20 years time.
