HI

If anyone uses this type of case I would be interested to know how you get on with them.

A friend of mine told me he had bought some Magtech 12 bore brass cases. I assumed they had a thick wall similar to a standard shotgun cartridge and I was surprised to see how thin the wall is.
A 12 bore wad is a very slack fit in the case. A soft felt wad might do the job, but I am concerned that if he fits a larger diameter wad to suit the case he might put his breech pressures up or blow the gun up when the bigger diameter wad tries to get through the forcing cone. I have advised him not to load any up yet.

I once had a Greener SBS chamberless shotgun, these Magtech cases would have been ideal for that. If a standard 12 bore cartridge was fired in the Greener it split from end to end, so there is quite a difference between the standard case internal diameter and the Magtech brass ones.
