    Missed this and the bank says I'm glad you did, also as others have said the postage issues could have been a worry.

    What i meant was Holt's gun auctions get better exposure as they specialise in gun auctions.

    I understand where your coming from and you could be right, but ive followed the saleroom for a number of years, two or three years ago it wasnt that popular and you could get some real bargains, for instance i witnessed a bsa imp d number three bore get sold for seven or eight hundred pounds, simply because it wasnt that popular or well known, can you imagine what would happen today?
    Over the years there has been a huge increase in the popularity of online auctions giving "other" houses a leg up towards the holts pinnacle and prices have risen accordingly, more recently ive notice a downturn in both auction prices and forum sales and values. Without doubt Holts have a good name and organisation but would the prices today have been any better? im not so sure they would!
    watch the holts auction tmw and see how it compares.
