Chrome plated Hy Scores are all very rare, the repeater model is almost unheard of. Super, super rare even in the US. In fact, I have never seen or heard of one the repeater models.

    Girandoni type pistol

    http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/au...5-a50800e368c4

These types have been a point of contention. There are some of this exact same type that have "Girandoni" + "Penzing" markings that have gone for extremely high auction prices. My suspicion has been that these are more likely of English production with the supposed Austrian version having faked-to-deceive markings. For one thing, while Girandoni certainly lived and produced his guns in Penzing (a suburb of Vienna) it seems very unusual that he would have marked his guns as Penzing rather than Vienna. There have also been examples seen of this identical type with no markings at all; making it a relatively easy proposition to convert a ho-hum collectable into a prized and very valuable historic collectable. As I recall, the Girandoni/Penzing example went for something over 10,000 euro at auction.

In my reference books, I don't see any British gunmaker named Echad. It appears that this is a Hebrew word that means "unity" so perhaps it is the proper name of the original owner.

It would be great if an owner of one of these would take the step of having the wood analyzed to determine the source. Should at least be able to determine if the wood is of English, Austrian or perhaps some other origin.

    Likely a Carbo Jet

This American Luger has what appears to be the adjustable power feature which means that it would properly be called a "Carbo Jet." Much more valuable than the plain-jane Schimel versions.

    Bullseye pistol

    http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/au...7-a50800e35354

These are great little shooters (.118 cal) that are amazingly accurate. These were produced from the 1930s to about 1980 or so. The originals were produced in Rawlings, Wyoming, by the inventor who was a dentist. He hand produced every one and these are true gems. After the war, the tooling was sold to somebody in La Jolla, California, and these are okay but not up to the original quality. Later still, the tooling went through several other hands and the quality went even lower.

The one seen here is one of the last produced. This can be determined by the carrier being plastic instead of lead. They still work pretty good and are well worth giving a try.

In the US, they are still a relatively common item but I suspect that they are all but unheard of in the UK. In my opinion, only the original Rawlings guns are collectable. But, any of them are worthy as a shooter.

Note: the intent of the designer was to produce a gun capable of shooting a fly and he absolutely accomplished that goal.

    Brown Pneumatic

    http://www.the-saleroom.com/en-gb/au...2-a50800e3526c

These are considered one of the ultimate American collectable airguns. I've known people who have purchased entire collections just to get a Brown. Unfortunately, this one is not in that great of shape; however, this is the only one that I can recall coming with the original holster. The box unfortunately is not original and adds very little to the value.

Built by the inventor in Davenport, Iowa, in 1939-1940. Production ceased do to war material restrictions and never resumed after the war.

    Hi,

If convenient, you can follow the auction live on webcam after selecting the auction from the link below. Otherwise, realised prices are usually published a few days after the auction using the tab at the top of the page.

Some lovely items, some ridiculous estimates.

Can anyone shed any light on 941 and 948.

Anybody on here not love to own 974?

    Cheers

Certainly one of the most desirable of all of the Crosman model 150 variants. Produced for only a short period of time circa 1957.
Is this not a commercial salesman's sample in that box and in that finish?

Thought about it, but I already have way too many and really need to start the process of getting rid of what I already have. My only purpose to try and buy one would be to flip it for a profit.
