if you use a weaver / picatinny rail and some good quick release mounts it should be there or thereabouts BUT when using on live quarry to make certain of an accurate / humane bullet placement we all re zero BUT its a one or two shot affair.
Some mounting systems dont afford this rigidity or repeatability so the zero can be a good way off........most red dots and there applications i have mostly used are on rimfires and I always check the zero......distance is limited too with most given the MOA of the dot itself.....less distance / potentially less drift?
