Be happy with 390 to 450 fps with 7 grn. The ones I have owned always cut nice clean holes with wadcutters.

I know their design means that the Model 6 and 10 are low powered.
Could anyone tell me what sort of velocity they are supposed to produce with decent match pellets?
I've heard they don't always produce neat holes on paper at 10m.

BE AN INDEPENDENT THINKER, DON'T FOLLOW THE CROWD
They make between 2.5 and 2.75 ft/lbs. So 390-420ish fps with 7 grain pellets.
Not too bad then.
Thanks for the replies.

I've had both 6s and 10s and all could cut clean holes at 10m. If they couldn't, I would have suspected the seals and stopped using them directly, until the internals were sorted.

Just checked my records. After a reseal, my '10' went from zero output (as from auction!!) to 470fps.
Cheers, Phil
I have owned both 6 and 10 pistols and had like other members have had no problem with neat holes in 'proper card' targets even out to 20 yards [don't ask] and certainly no problems at 10 M. If you can chrono your guns then the figures given should be what you can expect, in fact the '10' was usually more powerful for some reason. If you are well down on power check the breech seals and if they look flat, change them; however if that isn't any better then the advice to check the piston washers is totally valid and important as you can get serious damage where piston washers that have actually 'vanished' and you can get steel to steel contact internally which is not a good thing.

I recently resealed a model 10 for a mate & it chronoed at 3.5 ft/lbs with HN FTT afterwards. Straightforward enough job, just a little fiddly as there are lots of small parts with very fine threads, so if it hasn't been looked after you can expect some bits to be seized in place & a bugger to remove without damage.
