    For Sale Schimel P22

    ***Now Sold***

Very reluctantly sale one of my all time favourite pistols from my collection, its a P22 Schimel pistol, this pistol is in great condition for its age and is one of the early ones circa 1946/7 as the latter ones where branded GP22's and were only made up to 1956. This is a real classic and rare hard hitting pistol with a sound like a 22 rimfire, hard to find in the Uk and rarely come up for sale in this condition, just resealed and fully functioning. The interesting history and background of this pistol can be found at www.theschimel.com a quote from the Schimel website says that when this pistol was first launched in 1946 the LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT tried to have it banned as it was so realistic and had that Luger look to it.
This pistol shoots as should with absolutely no leaks or issues as I have just had it serviced and resealed prior to putting up for sale. it uses 8gr C02, these can be obtained easily online, from brewery shops and even Wilko's sell them.
It was rumoured to be one of the first C02 pistols made in the US. The pistol as said is in great condition and shoots very well with no leaks or issues. It comes with a new unused set of grips and grip screws (cross head screws) together with new side plate round round head screws which are also new and unused, these Schimel grips and screws were purchased from www.theschimel.com in the US were spares ect can still be readily obtained.

Happy to supply further images by email on request and can supply a video of the pistol in action so buyer can be reassured the pistol is 100% fully functioning with no leaks or issues and also see its full potential.

Happy for buyer to inspect and shoot the pistol at my home before buying, I live in Halewood in the Northwest of England. Any more info required just ask. Payment by bank transfer.

The gun looks great if i had a bit of spare cash id have it, by the way what's the rifle in your photo folder it's got me hankering, looks very well made, wonder if one of the mags could put one of these old guns through a modern test and see how it stacks up, is the barrel rifled?

Not as much as you would think, there were a number of them on sale at the recent David Swan auction in Newcastle several didn't sell and the two that did had hammer prices I think of £110 and £120 would have fees on top of around 20% so not a lot for an old classic
