Are not 5 shot competitions shot on timed turning targets?
No. No turning targets. 5 stationary targets. Yes, timed

I think one of the Yorkshire leagues is for Standard Pistol which at ten metres is 5 series of five shots in ten seconds on an air 4/89 (standard air pistol target).
The British Pistol Club hold comps for five shot air pistols every month at Bisley.

The Scottish Pistol Association have always run air standard pistol leagues, I presume they still do.
You do not need turning targets, you can use an audible timer, air is not shot at ISSF any more but 25mts .22 they use a timed electronic and not a turning target.
All good fun!

Hi, we've got two running in Yorkshire.
Standard Pistol is 5 shots in 10 seconds done twice plus 5 shots in 20 seconds done twice on Air 10/97 targets plus 5 shots in 150 seconds done twice on Air 4/89. So scored out of 300 on each round.
Then there's a Rapid Fire competition which is 5 shots in 10 seconds on each of four Air 4/89 targets, scored out of 200 on each round.
Both have 10 rounds in both Summer and Winter seasons, the latter is now under way.
Cheers,
Mick
