    Powder ? Heavy bullets .222

Hi what powder would you use for 69gr Sierra tipped match kings
In the .222 rem yes .222 rem 😀
    24in barrel (1in9 twist)
The gun is used as my truck gun (200 yards max)
I will be using 55gr blitz kings but have picked up a few boxes
Of the 69gr TMK and would love to give them a go
Obviously looking for very good case fill if not slightly compressed
To get the most out of it (Safely)
Thanks in advance for any knowledgeable info 👍

The latest edition of the Lyman loading manual has a gazillion loads in it, even for the .222Remington [what's so unusual about that?]

While I have the greatest respect for all here, I would not use any figures given on a forum, no matter how well-intentioned they are in an effort to advise you on a load for YOUR rifle.

My advice is in the first line. If you don't already have ANY kind of a reloading manual, then that should be your first stop - and that is MY advice.

Due to availability and supply issues, look up what Vhitavouri recommend (free load data on their website) and use that.

    Thanks

Hi lads yes I have reloading manuals
And have looked at the data on the power manufacturers sites
And will do my own loads started low and work up in 0.2gr to be safe
Just want to know from folk that have used the heavyweight bullets in this round
Just inquiring from knolagable folk that have been there and done it
    Thanks for your input 👍

    Heavieys

Also it is quite unusual to use heavy bullets in the .222 usual fodder
    Is 40-55gr 👍

This, of course, is true. Mostly because the 222 Remington is a one-time wonder these days with a very small choice of ROTs available because of the fact that when it came out, 40, 45 and 50gr bullets were all there were. No that it has mostly been supplanted by the far more numerous .223 Remington, this fine old cartridge has taken a back place. The rifle that I shoot over the way in .222 Rem is now almost 45 years old, but the woodchucks that get plotzed with it at 300-400 yards don't know that.

BTW, I don't reload for it.

Look at the data in the Sierra manual for the 63g SMP in the .222, as your bullet is 10% heavier begin your developement 10% off the starting load.
