Sussex Interclub HFT 2015 - Round 10 Results

Hi everyone

BIG thanks to the not-so-big crew at Buxted for putting out a very testing course for the final competitive round of this year’s Sussex Interclub series. It was certainly NOT designed to aid those who've just attained 'Veteran' status

Weather played its part too – an almost perfect autumn day, with (mostly) bright sunshine and very little breeze.

Buxted woods clearly suits at least one of the long-distance travellers (Alex) and one of the home team (Sossidge), both leading the way with top scores of 56. Well done guys. For the rest, there was a real mixed bag, with some league table leaders struggling to stay in the 50s. Another notable score was from one of our younger Primary Class competitors achieving a PB (in SIHFT terms) of 50. Very well done Abi - brilliant result on a tough course.

The highlight for me personally (apart, of course, from the Happy Birthday from you lot – aided and abetted by my ol’ Sis – and the pleasure of shooting with Aaron and Graeme) just had to be knocking over the free stander on peg 1; and I was told that it was a ‘horror’. Rubbish – was an easy one

This is being hosted by Horsham Hawkes on Sunday 1^st November and they will, no doubt, put on something ‘different’ and special for us. It’s at this event that the trophies will be awarded, along with some exciting prizes which will be drawn from a ‘hat’ containing the names of everyone who has shot in at least 6 rounds of the series .... AND who is present to collect it. Don't miss out

Just wanted to say what a great year it has been, I could not have wished to shoot in a more friendly and well run series and I will certanly like to shoot again next year.
